Sydney Hollingshead

Sydney Hollingshead is a current student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is currently pursuing a BFA in 3D Animation and the Teaching Artist minor. She as received the honor of making MCAD’s Deans List for her freshmen and sophomore years. She’s also had the chance to exhibit one of her charcoal drawings at MCAD’s Foundation Drawing exhibit.

She believes that animation is one of the most influential art forms out there, for it mimics the ever-changing world in which society commutes. Furthermore, Sydney wants to channel her emotions into her artwork and inspire those around her. She firmly stands by the fact that every great artist must be able to inspire and be inspired themselves. Sydney has a desire to pursue teaching because she wants to be there for her students. She has a concentration in elementary public teaching, because that is where she was inspired to become the artist that she is today. She wants to be the mentor and help them with whatever they are going through while also seeing how far they have grown as a person.
