Natalie Vilter is a junior majoring in illustration and minoring in teaching at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She works in a variety of mediums like oil paint, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, sidewalk chalk, and digital. As a hobby, she also felts using wool from her angora rabbits. Most of Natalie’s work focuses on childhood memories and nostalgia. In high school, Natalie volunteered as a teaching assistant for summer art classes at the CVA, Center for the Visual Arts, in Wausau, Wisconsin. Since then, she has climbed the ladder to teach summer art classes at the CVA for the past three years for ages 5-12 and assisted with planning art projects for her local school district in partnership with the CVA. This past year, she also started tutoring middle schoolers in drawing and painting. Natalie’s goal is for everyone to embrace their inner child as they create art, whether they are experienced or picking up a paintbrush for the first time.
