Mia Stratman is a Washington-based Illustrator currently residing and planting roots in the Midwest. Mia’s style ranges from textile, pattern, and product to editorial, and Children’s book projects, the common theme throughout the portfolio being the work’s bright color and bold features. Mia is currently attending the Minneapolis College of Art and Design as a Senior Illustration Major pursuing a Teaching Artist Minor. Mia has had the joy of working with elementary-aged children through after-school programs, as well as younger Montessori students, to share her love of art. Mia’s inspirations come from all things wonky, and she firmly stands by her belief that every individual can be an artist, you just have to own your style. Seeing as though Mia is constantly surrounded by art and inspiration in all forms, she fully recognizes the power that art and being an artist have on our everyday lives and is excited to share her passion with upcoming generations of creative minds.
