Isamar Jaquez is a junior studying towards a BFA in Illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Although her focus is on illustration and characters, Isamar enjoys to design dolls, sculpt, animate, game design, and write poetry. She follows a multidisciplinary approach to keep the art-making process new and exciting. Isamars work deals with topics regarding mental illness, self love, and pure child-like wonder for the world. After working as an after school counselor for the Palm Beach School district in South Florida, Isamar aspires to be a freelance illustrator and teaching artist for young adolescents. Her goal in life is to encourage her fellow artists to embrace their inner child and to be true to themselves, allowing exploration for their pure love of art.
