Eli deVries
Eli deVries is a set to graduate in December 2019 from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Fine Arts Studio and minors in Engaged and Public Arts and Teaching Artist. Her work is focused on the everyday, with an emphasis on her childhood home, Christian upbringing and queer identity through installation, found footage and photographs.
She was raised in a small town in the Kansas plains and hopes to make art education more accessible to students from similar rural areas. Eli enjoys working with middle school students in a variety of mediums, including collage, ceramics and fiber arts.
