Carly Peterson is a junior at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, studying sculpture and photography. She makes different types of gel skins for metal and wood forms, as well as building the forms from scratch. Her art making tends to focus on the man-made being reclaimed and repossessed by nature. She is interested in the sciences and histories of our world. She attended schools in Robbinsdale and Plymouth and has frequented the Minneapolis area for her entire life. Her mother has been working for the District 281 for 9 years. Carly has assisted her mother with various forms of  classes such as, English as a second language class for adults to reading to the youngest grade level kids.
